ABOUT TAYF

A NEW BEGINNING

Kusay and Velit were two close friends, both 19 years old. They had spent their childhood in another country, but their families had migrated to Turkey in search of a better future. They were fascinated by the energy and vibrancy of Istanbul’s streets. Their dreams were big: they wanted to create their own brand, share their designs with people, and become entrepreneurs recognized not only in Turkey but also worldwide.

The First Step: Instagram

At the beginning, they didn’t have much budget, but they had passion and determination. They had some knowledge of graphic design and a deep interest in street fashion. They started by sketching their designs in notebooks, turning them into digital artworks, and launching a small Instagram page. They named their brand something that symbolized a “new beginning” and started sharing a few sample hoodies they had printed.

At first, their followers were just their friends and acquaintances. But over time, young people in Turkey and even from other countries started noticing them. The unique combination of their cultural background and modern design approach set them apart.

Challenges and Struggles

However, the journey wasn’t easy. Establishing a business as foreigners in Turkey, finding suppliers, and making deals with manufacturers took time. Their budget was limited—sometimes they couldn’t even afford to print their designs. But they didn’t give up. They worked day and night to grow on social media, constantly improving their products based on customer feedback.

Moving Forward: The Website

As orders from Instagram increased, they realized it was time to expand. They decided to create a professional e-commerce website. They spent days working on coding, design, and payment systems. Finally, they launched their own website, allowing them to sell not only through Instagram but also directly via their online store.

Dreams Coming True

Their brand was reaching more and more people, and orders were growing. Every hoodie and t-shirt they sent out was another step toward their dreams. They weren’t just building a clothing brand—they were writing the story of young entrepreneurs who refused to give up despite all the challenges.

And this was only the beginning…
